What’s the ASC?
The Columbia College Academic Skills Center, located in the basement of Edens Library, is a teaching lab dedicated to helping students hone their skills in reading critically and writing on the college level. Trained student writing consultants and English professors work one-on-one with students to help them become better writers and critical thinkers. The ASC is not an editing facility; rather, regular use of the ASC will give students the resources to write better papers on their own.
